2025 Camp Sessions
SESSION 1: June 24 – 26
Messy Art Camp! (Ages 3-4)
Textures, molding, painting, splattering – this is the perfect camp for your creative and tactile artist. Campers will create sculptures, paint their own canvas and find new ways to represent their artistic vision. Campers should come dressed in clothes suitable for messy art.
Ever Growing Artists! (Ages 5-7)
This camp fosters creativity, self-discovery and an appreciation for the arts. Older students will experiment with a variety of media from Eric Carle Inspired paper projects to mobiles inspired by artist Alexander Calder. Children will be encouraged to use materials such as recyclables. Each Student will take home a portfolio to share their work with you.
SESSION 2: July 8 – 10
Ocean Animal, What’s Your Name? (Ages 3-4)
From invertebrates such as octopus and seastar to vertebrates such as salmon, our younger group will learn about how salt-water animals live and breathe and their many unique characteristics for survival. Did you know, for example, that the octopus covers itself with shells to protect itself from hungry sharks?
Tide Pool Exploration (Ages 5-7)
Low tides in the Puget Sound expose a new universe of life at the beach and is called the intertidal zone! Mollusks, sea anemones, crustaceans, arthropods. There is so much to see and observe. Campers must wear sturdy beach shoes (no flip-flops), a hat to protect the face from sun and sunscreen must be applied prior to the start of camp.

SESSION 3: July 15 – 17
Let’s Make Music (Ages 3-4)
Young music enthusiasts will have a blast exploring the world of music. Children will hear songs from Africa, Asia, South America, Central America and more. Learning both rhythm and pattern students will make their own instruments in a fun and creative environment.
Numberland (Ages 5-7)
Inspired by trained Numberland teacher Uta, she will make the exploration of numbers and number concepts such as ten frames, fun, rich, and educational! Lots of hands on materials. If your student has taken Numberland before with Teacher Uta in their younger years at ACB, they will love this relaxed continuation and as well, children will experiment tasting German foods and learn some folk and festive dancing!
SESSION 4: July 22 – 24
Science is Cool! (Ages 3-4)
Science is all about asking questions and wondering what would happen if? Children will delve into the mysteries of things such as how clouds and rainbows are formed to evaporation, magnets, and experiment with liquids!
Mad Scientists (Ages 5-7)
Taken to the next level, children will make their own crystals, volcanos, and replicate toys as Silly Puddy or Shrinky Dink. They will experiment with their own goop and practice other exciting outcomes when combining simple elements.
SESSION 5: July 29 – 31
Puppetry I (Ages 3-4)
Help us revive the lost art of puppet making! We will design, build and manipulate our puppets, crafting characters and perform on a puppet stage. We will explore texture with felt, fabric to make finger, hand and rod puppets. Each child will take home a very special keepsake, a rod puppet they will create at camp.
Puppetry II (Ages 5-7)
This session will invite children to create characters and make up stories about them, exploring their imaginations and speaking through their puppets. This art can help children practice acting skills taking on the voices of characters! Children will gain skills in storytelling skills and gain confidence speaking in front of others!
SESSION 6: August 5 – 7
Snakes, Lizards, Crocs, and Turtles and a visitor from the Reptile Farm!
Reptiles! (Ages 3-4)
Snakes, Lizards, Crocs, and Turtles and a visitor from the Reptile Farm! Young children will explore the world of reptiles and include some investigative work such as looking closely at Spotty and Myrtle to determine reptile characteristics. We will make snakes, tortoises, crocs, and lizards from recyclables and clay.
Reptiles! (Ages 5-7)
This camp will include an in depth study of snakes and lizards which includes researching our most deadliest snakes on the planet and determining if they are actually helpful for human existence. Some interesting facts plus a study of our own pet snake, Spotty.

Camp Information:
Camps are Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday from 9:00am – 1:00pm at A Child Becomes Preschool. Some Early Elementary camps are held off-site. Please see descriptions for camp locations.
Age Groups:
- Preschool, ages 3-4 (in/entering Butterfly or Sunbeam) * All campers must be 3 yrs old before camp and fully potty trained.
- Early Elementary, ages 5-7 (entering K-1st grade)
Registration Dates:
- February 1 – 10: Registration open for ACB Students/siblings + ACB Alumni
- February 11 – March 31: Open to public as space allows
Cancellation Policy:
Before May 31, 2025 – Full refund minus $75 non-refundable processing fee
After May 31 , 2025 – No Refunds
*Switching camp weeks may be done at no cost if space is available by emailing office@achildbecomes.org
