DESCRIPTION:We will host a food drive for the month of November to support the Back Pack program at the West Seattle Food Bank.  The program supports children at risk of weekend hunger in our community. Each receives a “backpack” consisting of six balanced meals that are kid-friendly\, nutritious\, nonperishable\, and easy to prepare/eat.  Grocery bags will be sent home with your student along with a wish list. These can be returned to school and in turn\, sent to the WS Food Bank. \nThank you for your support!

DESCRIPTION:We will be collecting toys (new and un-wrapped) to benefit Toys for Tots. \nIdeally\, every child is bringing one toy for donation. These toys are then delivered to the Fire Station 29 just down the street by the students mid-December. We load up wagons and walk down\, each child is able to deposit one toy (it may not be their own) into the donation bin. We sing songs and talk with the firefighters and then return to the school for hot cocoa with marshmallows. \n
