Enrichment

Curriculum

Friday Enrichment Day for Butterflies and Sunbeams is a time set aside during the week where we emphasize our classroom theme to a greater degree whether it be through the Arts or Sciences. It is a day where we may conduct experiments, make large murals for the walls, cook in our industrial sized kitchen, or work in our spring gardens.  Your child will find friends from other classes, meet new friends, get dirty, find wonder and laugh! Classes are taught by specialists in Science and Art, and may or may not be the same teacher your child has for their main class.

This particular week was ‘O’ week and we happened to be studying the solar system and planets, the classroom theme for the last two weeks.  Grandma Dorothy joined us as we read a story about living on the moon, we realized that earth is much nicer place to live.  We built mobiles showing planets and stars and squeezed our own fresh, Orange juice.  It was tasty!

Class size is no more than 16.  Student to teacher ratio is 8:1.
